Osian's Halloween Books

I really love buying children's books, there's just something so lovely about them. As you might be able to tell from my new header, I'm also getting quite excited for Halloween. Osian seems to be enjoying the run up to Halloween aswell, he loves seeing pumpkins, ghosts and spiders up in cafes and shops. It just seemed fitting to put together a little collection of Halloween books for him. I tried my best not to go overboard, thinking the collection will most likely grow over the years, plus I'm in need of some good storage for his books - my house feels as though it's being taken over by books at the moment. So I'm not wanting to buy many more books until that's sorted. We've been reading at least one Halloween book every evening as bedtime story for the last week or so.

Here's his collection -
You Are My Pumpkin - This is the sweetest little book. We've only had the chance to read it once, as Osian shouts 'no' all the other times I've picked it up, he can be quite particular with his bedtime story. Although he did enjoy it the one time we read it, he liked all the pumpkins. I'll have to bring it downstairs and hope he likes to flick through it during the day.

Room on the Broom - We've had this book for a while. My mum found a great deal of ten Julia Donaldson books for £10. We've loved every single story, and this one's been great for Halloween time.

Boo Who? - This is Osian's favourite one. It's a lift the flap book, and which Osian really likes at the moment, he enjoys books that he can interact with.

Peppa's Pumpkin Party - I'd say this one's Osian's second favourite. He's a huge Peppa fan, and loves anything Peppa or George related. He can sit looking at the last page for ages - it's full of all the characters dressed up in various Halloween costumes, along with loads of decorations, such as spiders!

  5. Lucky Osian - this is such a fun selection of books! I didn't know there was a Halloween themed Peppa Pig - I'm going to have to try find that now for my little one because she is obsessed and has me reading the same book cover to cover 5 million times a day :)

  8. Lucky Osian to have such a fab collection of Halloween books. Julia Donaldson is one of my favourite children's authors so Room On The Broom is a firm favourite in our house. I'd highly recommend 'No Such Thing' by Ella Bailey too, it's a lovely little Halloween read! xxx

  15. We have a collection of Christmas books and I do enjoy getting them out year after year, but nothing for halloween and I was missing them today. We usually got them out of the library, but now we've moved abroad that's not going to be possible. I foresee a shopping trip!
