When I hear Lansinoh, the first thing that comes to mind is their Lanolin cream, which was a life saver for me during the early days of breastfeeding. I'm so glad one of the midwives recommended it to me. As well as their cream, they sell other breastfeeding essentials - such as breast pads. They also sell a range of other products. These include Earth Friendly Baby skincare products, and mOmma, which sells feeding products.Earth Friendly Baby has been part of the Lansinoh family since 2011 but it came about over 20 years ago. It was started by a Dad who couldn't find the ethical, natural and organic products he wanted for his children's skin. From the Earth Friendly Baby, we received calming lavender bubble bath, and gentle aloe vera wet wipes. I'm very apprehensive when it comes to products that will come in contact with Osian's skin as he's suffered with eczema for about a year and a half now, and there are some brands I just stay well clear of. Since Earth Friendly Baby claim to be committed to providing gentle, kind and ethical skin care products, I was more than happy to give them a go.
The calming lavender bubble bath, has been dermatologically approved for baby sensitive skin, is a certified organic cosmetic made in the UK and is free from animal testing. The using instructions say to squeeze two caps full into warm bath water, swirl and have fun. The bubble bath has a gorgeous smell to it, it made me feel calm and ready for bed at 6pm! The bubbles lasted the duration of bath time, and the gorgeous scent remained constant throughout. The lotion didn't effect Osian's skin in any way, and I'd happily buy some more for future bath times. I've been known to sneak a few squeezes of the lotion into my own baths, especially when I'm not feeling well, it's just so relaxing.
Like the bubble bath, the wet wipes are also made in the UK, are free from animal testing, and they are a certified organic cosmetic by Ecocert Greenlife. They felt the same to use as other leading brands and were just as effective at cleaning. The wipes are 100% biodegradable, which is something I have only seen available in little packets containing a couple of wipes before and the packaging is eco friendly.
Straw Cup. Osian had not long learnt how to drink from a straw when the cup arrived, and he loved having a straw cup at home. The cup's available in orange or green, and comes in two designs, one with handles and one without. I love the circular design of the cup, I haven't seen any similar before. When placed upright the cup can be rocked, and will return to its original position, which Osian has had a great time with. One day after tea, he sat in his high chair for ages rocking it to and fro. Whilst not in use, the top can be twisted, which puts the straw away into the lid of the cup. The straw is made from silicone, and is spill proof - which is a must in our house. The silicone straw attaches to a plastic bit that's inside the cup and it comes apart, making cleaning easier. Due to the shape, I thought the cup would be hard to clean, but that's not the case, it doesn't require a bottle brush or anything.
