Osian's Riverside Adventure

Seeing as we don't have a garden, we've been on the hunt for places to go when the weather's nice. We've found quite a few little walks we can go on from our house. Yesterday, we found a spot that just seems perfect for Osian. It's about a ten minute walk from our house. The first few minutes are along the road, but the rest is a lovely path leading through a forest, which ends up down by the river bank.

Recently Osian has loved collecting sticks and stones to throw in the river, and this is the best place we've found for him to do so. I was over the moon when we found this place, as soon as I saw it, I knew Osian would love it. The current is nearly non-existent at this point of the river and it's very shallow, so Osian can go right up to the water to drop the stones in. The whole banks covered in stones, so there's no shortage of things to throw.

Before leaving the house we'd had a bit of a melt down, which led to us not having much time to spend at this new spot. Which then caused a few more tears due to not wanting to leave. I'm planning on going again tomorrow, when we will hopefully be able to spend longer by the river.

Even though we didn't have a very long time in our Osian's new favourite spot we had a lovely time. There were some horses running about in the fields on the other side of the river, which was nice to watch. Osian kept looking at them saying 'neigh neigh' and getting really excited.

In my younger years, I complained how there was nothing to do around here, and it was 'boring'. My feelings towards my town are very different now, I really love living here. When the weather's not great, I'll admit there isn't much here to do, but we can always travel to indoor places.

Here are some photos from our time by the river. I've recently found that it's quite a hassle to take the camera out when it's just the two of us and there's no pram to put it under when it's not being used. My phone camera has to do, and I'm quite happy with these photos, so I can't really complain.
