Why are you so obsessed?

Recently I've realised how into a book, film or TV series I really get. After watching Divergent on DVD last year I was immediately hooked. In a short space of time I had watched it quite a few times. Then I or it might have been my mum, bought the books. I spent every spare second I had reading the books, pretty much all of Osian's nap time was spent reading, and as soon as he went to bed I found myself reaching straight for the book. Then when I finished I felt lost, like I'd actually lost something from my life, all because there was no more story to be read. This has also happened with several other books.

When I was studying for my exams in my first year of uni, I somehow thought it was a good idea to buy the box set of Game of Thrones to see if I like it, BAD MISTAKE. As soon as I watched the first episode, I had to watch the next, then this carried on for the rest of the day. I had finished all ten episodes by the end of the next day. That day whilst out shopping I bought the next series, because I just had to watch it asap. Which even cost me more, as it was a few pounds dearer than it was on Amazon, and the usual me always goes for the cheaper option even if it means waiting, but this time I couldn't wait.

The reason I've written this, is to ask, is anyone else like this? Am I normal? Is this normal? I don't feel like anyone else around be gets so obsessed with fictional things.

  1. This is so normal!! I'm actually glad I'm so behind on TV series because then I get to watch seasons and seasons of them without catching up, like I did with Mad Men... except now I'm waiting for the last one and I'm dying of anticipation!

  2. Yup this is normally, I get like this with series' first it was suits, orange is the new black and now Pretty Little Liars. When I get in to something I have to watch it all the time!

  3. I can be exactly the same. There's not much I like but when i do i REALLY get into it. Thanks for sharing this and for linking up #bigfatlinky
