The Book of Mum Review

Like most people I know I love personalised things, especially gifts. They're lovely to receive and even lovelier to give to someone. The Book of Everyone is probably the most personalised gift I have come across. As suggested in the title the book can be made for anyone of any age. I've received The Book of Mum which is the perfect Mother's Day gift for my Mum (although I have already shown her it in case she read this and would rather her see it first!)

The Book of Mum is very easy to make, a lot easier than I thought it would be, the website is very user friendly. Firstly you choose which type of book you would like, the choices are, digital, paperback, hardback and the deluxe edition. You then get right to making it. Firstly you enter your name and who the book's for name and their date of birth, then you can choose the front cover from a range of different colours. After entering the names and choosing the colour you go through page by page, having the option of editing certain parts to create a more personalised book. I think it's great that you see exactly what you're going to get before purchasing. The pages that cannot be edited are informative ones, with interesting information all personalised around the date of birth and name provided. What I really liked when entering the date of birth you are given to option to show their current age or the age they will be on their next birthday, meaning this could also be given as a birthday present.

The delivery was very fast, I wasn't expecting it to come so quickly. The book is made with high quality paper, being a paperback I was worried it may be a little flimsy but it's not in the slightest. I love the way the book is set out, and the illustrations. It's a very fun book. As I said above I have already shown this to my Mum and she was very impressed by it, she seemed to particularly like the page that shows the prices for things the year she was born. It made me feel a bit ripped off having not long paid nearly £10 to go to the cinema and back in her day it was 19p a ticket!

I really love the idea of this book and so does my Mum, it really is a perfect Mother's Day gift for her. A paperback book like my mum's costs £19.50 and has free delivery to mainland UK as do the types of The Book of Mum.

*I was sent a code to order a book free of charge for the purpose of an honest review, all words and opinions are my own.
