Messy Play - Painting

Osian does plenty colouring at home but we have never done any messy play before. He does plenty of different activities at nursery, but this was his first time painting at home, the first time I get to be there to see.

I bought some blank canvases that were on sale in the Works last time I was in town, I thought it would be a lovely way to get some of Osian's art up on the wall. I also found a plain party plate that Osian could paint on

I didn't have an apron or a bib with sleeves for him at the time, I nearly stripped him down to his nappy because the house was nice and warm but he would just be scratching his eczema, thought it would be okay if one vest got ruined, but somehow it managed to stay clear of paint!

I'm really happy with how the photos came out. He had a great time and would have probably carried on all day if he could, I know he looks grumpy in the photos but that's his concentration face. I'm so glad we did some painting, it was really lovely to help him or just sit and watch as he didn't need very much help at all. I was so surprised by how well he was painting all by himself.

I love his painting, it is definitely going up on the wall!
