Vita Coco Kids is fruit flavoured coconut water drink. The drinks are not artificially sweetened and are also free from colourings and preservatives. Something they do contain is natural flavours, which provides a juice taste without all the artificials. The drinks are packaged in Tetra Pak, which can be recycled and are BPA-free.
The drinks come in a choice of either Apple & Blackcurrant or Mango & Pineapple. We received four drinks, two of each flavour. The illustrations on the cartons are lovely, I particularly like the monkey. Osian can't really drink from a straw yet so I left them with Tara and she tried one of the Mango & Pineapple and said it was really nice. A few days later I put the rest of them in the fridge, and I tried one of the Apple & Blackcurrant, Tara tried the other one, and Tara's friend had the other Mango & Pineapple.
We all really liked them. I wasn't planning on trying any myself but after Tara saying how nice they were I had to try one, I'm not usually too keen on anything containing coconut but I must admit I really liked the drink.
The drinks have been a big hit with my 10 year old sister, and think they would be enjoyed by kids of all ages. I think they would be very handy for packed lunches, picnics, days out, or just a nice drink to have in the house. The drinks can also be frozen which would have made a lovely ice lolly over the summer. I can't bare the thought of ice lollies or ice creams over the winter but Tara loves them whatever the weather, so I'm thinking of buying her some to pop in the freezer.
I think Tara will definitely be asking my Mum to buy these next time they're out shopping. Vita Coco Kids can be bought online on Amazon, or in supermarkets such as Tesco. I'm thinking of buying some from the Vita Coco range, and see if I enjoy them as much as the Kids drinks!
