Tara's 10th Birthday

For Tara's 10th birthday we went to Bodafon Farm Park, since she enjoyed it so much the last time we went. she decided to go again. This the first year she hasn't done something with lots of her friends for her birthday. Since she decided to go on the zip line rather than having a big party, but there were still quite a few of us there. There was Tara, my Mum and Dad, Tara's friend, me, Osian, our cousin Shona, and Carly who is a close family friend but sadly lives all the way in Dover!

We had a great time although it was quite a bit chiller than last time we went. Tara rode a pony for the first time! I'm surprised she'd never been on a pony ride before.

Afterwards we went home where I gave Tara her presents and Osian played while I made tea. Tara had asked if I could make 'Trina's pasta sauce' (her words - not mine) for tea, which I had no problem with but was quite confused why she choose it for her birthday tea because she doesn't eat much sauce!

After tea, it was time for cake. The cake which took 6 hours to make! It was a lovely cake, Osian really enjoyed it. Although I don't think we needed a cake for 22 people, since only 6 of us ate it.

Here's the birthday girl..

It was a lovely day, that I think we all enjoyed. I think Tara got a bit over excited when the clock struck half 2, and she realised she was exactly ten years old, I don't think I've ever heard her shout so loud before!

  4. Do you know what I love? The fact that in in this day and age where 10 year olds are more like 18 year olds, your daughter was happy to go to the farm. So lovely to see a child being a child for a change! Also loving the cake! I am attempting this in a few weeks for my daughters birthday! #letkidsbekids
