The Frustration of Trying to Crawl

Osian is started to get so annoyed if he wants something out of his reach. Despite his best efforts he is often pushing himself further away from what he's trying to get to. Unless he is sat on his bum, then he usually manages to reach forward enough to get what he wants, he often looks like he's about to go on all fours from a sitting position but he either ends up lying on his tummy and getting frustrated or he sits back down.

I do leave him on his belly when he's struggling to let him figure out what he can and can't do, but if it gets to the point he's starting to get upset I help him out by putting him back in a sitting position, or we have a little cuddle.

An action shot of him trying to crawl. I would say excuse the dribble but he's a baby, that's what they do.

'If I tap the floor I may get somewhere.'

'I think I'll take a little break and play with the rug'

'One more try, maybe shouting will help.'

'Oh I give up!'

I know Osian will crawl when he's ready but it's not nice seeing him getting so annoyed that he can't do something.

  1. Awww this post is sooo adorable!!! x

  2. Out of my ID twins - one loved tummy time & crawled quickly & easy. The other bless her screamed and got so upset. When she finally got mobile - she went backwards!

  3. Oh that is so lovely - so determined haha. He'll probably give up and stand up and walk now x #poloco

  4. The dribble is so artsy =P

It is nice to see that he is trying. I remember how my son would also get frustrated when he cant get something that he wants. Thanks for reminding me of those cute days like yours now =) #PoCoLo

  5. Aww! Bless him! It must be so frustrating....He does look like he's so ready to get on the move x

  6. I remember when my daughter was trying to crawl I so wanted her too. She would be on all four rocking and then just flop in the floor but once she started crawling there was no stopping her! #binkylinky
