Baby Einstein Addict

When Osian was about 6 weeks old, he stopped sleeping during the day in his moses basket. Meaning if we were in the house I spent most of the day holding him whilst he fed/slept. I think it was around this time Osian also started cluster feeding in the evening, which could last up to 6 hours. It was very tiring being sat in the same spot for so long. I know it may not sound tiring just sitting down, but sitting in the exact same spot for so long would get very uncomfortable. Which was all quite draining and I needed some time to myself. Not long periods of time, but 5-10 minutes to make a drink, grab a bite to eat, a quick shower etc.

If there was anyone here they would happily entertain him for a little bit so I could get some food or something. When it was just the two of us together it was a harder task to keep him happy, sometimes he would lay happily on his baby gym, or sit in the bouncer chair. Then Christmas came along, my Dad bought Osian a Baby Einstein Animal DVD. I didn't put it on for a few weeks, so by the time I got around to it, Osian was about 3 months old. The first time I put it on I was amazed by how long it kept him happy, I managed to make a cup of tea, drink it while it was still warm, AND have something to eat, with time left to spare! I was quite amazed by how long he lay there happily watching it.

Ever since Osian is a little Baby Einstein addict, he loves watching it. As soon as he here's the opening music his head turns to face the TV so quickly, obviously Baby Einstein is way too good to miss any!

A few pictures of Osian glued to Baby Einstein..

  1. Dexter won't watch anything longer than about 3mins, he always needs to be playing with something. I guess that's a good thing though. I don't want him to be a telly addict like his dad lol

    1. It is! I don't have the telly on too much for Osian, but when it is this is what he watches :) I must admit it's quite handy he will sit still for a while and watch it though xx
