Organix Rice Cakes Review

We were recently sent a packet of Cherry Rice Cakes from Organix. They were founded in 1992 with the believe that everyone, no matter what their age, deserves to well. With organic ingredients being a part of that. They say that staying true to their words and beliefs is a big priority to them. Which must be true if they are producing organic healthy foods still 22 later. Organix sell a wide range of baby and toddler foods. I make all of Osian's meals, and at the start I was quite reluctant to buy any 'shop bought baby foods', nothing against anyone who does - I just liked being the one to make it all. Once I looked at the ingredients and read up about Organix it made me become a bit more open minded about buying him snacks. I have realised the convenience of having a packet of snacks, for when we are out and about. He seems to particularly be a fan of their banana baby biscuits.

We were kindly sent a pack of their Cherry Rice Cakes, which is a limited edition flavour. I gave Osian a few for his afternoon snack. They are perfect size for him to easily pick them up and feed himself. Although with one he did try to put the rice cake vertically in his mouth and was getting a bit annoyed he couldn't chew on it. I was about to help him out but he managed by turning it himself. It is a good sized packet and will last for at least a couple of snack times. Cherry is a completely new flavour for Osian but he seemed to like them, anything he doesn't like will get thrown away as soon as it touches his lips!

I now carry around a little lunchbox for when we are out and about, these little rice cakes are perfect to add to the foods I carry. One thing I really like about the rice cakes is the ingredients, it is 85% wholegrain rice, 15% cherry and apple juices, and less than <1% Thiamin. It states that the Thiamin has no organic certification.
We love the rice cakes. They are definitely something to add to our shopping list. With a RRP price of £1.19 it is a reasonable price for an organic product. I thought it would be much dearer than other baby snacks, but it's pretty much on par with them. Organix products are found in most supermarkets, but they also have an online shop, where the rice cakes can be found.

- Disclaimer - I was sent this packet for the purpose of an honest review, all words and opinions are my own.
We're going on an adventure
