Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse Review

Poor Osian seems to take after me when it comes to dry skin. He has recently had it all up his back, on his legs and had cradle cap all over the top of his head. So when we were recently given the chance to review Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse it was great timing especially since the Health Visitor advised to use moisturiser at least twice a day on his head to treat the cradle cap. I decided to use it for a while before writing this up so I knew how good it was in the long term.

Until recently I thought Sudocrem was just cream for nappy rash, but when Osian developed eczema I found one of their other products called Care and Protect. It then became clear to me that they have a whole range of products. The range includes suncream which we will probably buy in the summer, or sooner if this nice weather stays.

I hadn't used a mousse moisture before so wasn't sure if it would be as effective as cream. We have now been using the cream for about a month, and it has helped clear up Osian's cradle cap. Within a few days of applying it at least twice a day the cradle cap started to clear up and within a week it was completely gone. Osian used to scratch his head but he's stopped doing that now too. It was definitely just as effective as cream and I think I even prefer it. The mousse forms a semi-permeable membrane meaning skin can still breath. It is free from perfumes and colours, is formulated to care for babies' skin and is hypoallergenic (something I like to see in Osian's products).

The mousse is quickly absorbed and easy to apply. It has a nice feel to it and isn't greasy at all. It doesn't leave any white marks but with this one is absorbed so quickly we don't seem to have this problem. With other products, when I put cream on Osian's head, I usually have him sat up on my lap facing away from me and nearly 100% of the time he launches his head into me once I'm done and I seem to get covered in cream, but this doesn't happen with the mousse. After the mousse has been applied to Osian's skin it is nice and soft, very smooth.

Here is picture of Osian with cradle cap and a recent one since it has cleared up.

I am very impressed with the mousse. The dry skin on his legs has also completely gone, but I still apply the mousse after he's had a bath to hopefully stop it from coming back, in fact I like applying it all over after he's had a bath because I think it good for his skin.

Here is a link to Sudocrem's website, if you would like to take a look at their products .

We're going on an adventure
