I am quite fussy about which products I use with Osian. Until recently I'd buy any of the 'Sensitive' wetwipes, mostly whichever one was on offer, but I realised some of them still made him red and sore, so I narrowed it down to just the one brand to use. Also I seem to be becoming more aware of natural/organic/pure products. Therefore I was excited to try out
The World's Purest Wetwipe, which is 99.9% water and 0.1% fruit extract. The fruit extract is kind to skin, natural ingredient and is not a harsh chemical. To be exact the fruit extract is grapefruit seed extract, only one simple ingredient, compared to
what is in some baby wipes. Water wipes are the only wetwipes ever to be approved by Allergy UK and are designed to
prevent nappy rash. Also, they are suitable to use from birth and it saves you of the trouble of carrying water and cotton wool!
I was sent 4 packets so I have managed to get good use out of them before writing a review. I like the simplicity of the packaging, I think it helps show that it's a pure product. The wipes are thick so they don't rip as you pull them out the packet. I found I didn't use as many wipes as I usually do because the thickness is quite absorbing and cleans well, which means a pack seemed to last a while.
I was very impressed with the wipes. Osian's skin has been healthy with no redness or sores. I thought that we may have trouble cleaning the dirtier nappies with them, but I was wrong and we had no problems. I don't mind using these wipes to clean his crusty nose, whereas I usually dampen tissue to do so, but I much prefer using the wipes. I truly think these wipes are great!
WaterWipes are dearer than some other wetwipes but if you want a pure wipe it is worth the extra money. Up until recently you could only buy WaterWipes online, but they are now available to buy in Boots and Co-op stores. Take a look
here if you would like to see other places you can find WaterWipes.
Disclaimer - I was sent the wipes for the purpose of an honest review. All words and opinions are my own.
